amyloidosis: bone manifestations


  • joint pain without radiographic findings
  • osteoporosis, esp. in axial skeleton
  • lytic lesions that destroy cortex and invade soft tissue
  • wrist
    • scaphoid and lunate lesions that may extend into the carpal tunnel
    • inducing the classic complaints of carpal tunnel syndrome
