- Chlamydia trachomatis
- obligate intracellular parasite
- features of both bacteria and viruses
- infection during delivery (previous conjunctivitis or rhinitis)
- onset of symptoms at 6 weeks (range = 4 to 12 weeks)
findings:
- hyperaeration
- linear and reticulonodular densities
- scattered symmetrically throughout both lungs
- peribronchial cuffing
