hemangioblastoma


  • benign autusomal dominant tumor
  • 10% multiple
  • erythrocytemia in 20%

  • age:
  • location: cerebellum > spinal cord > cerebrum

  • findings:
    • cystic mass (2/3); solid tumor (1/3)
    • homogenous enhancement of mural nodule (50%)
    • occasional enhancement of cytic wall
    • almost never calcifies
    • angio: dense staining of cystic wall and nidus

  • DDx:
    • astrocytoma (> 5cm, calcifications, no angiographic contrast blush of mural nodule, no erythrocyemia)
    • metastasis
