  • arises from PROXIMAL collecting tubule, 10% bilateral

adenocarcinoma types:
  • papillary
  • alveolar
  • onchocytoma

vascularity
  • 85% hypervascular (require pre-op embolization)
  • 10% hypovascular (usually papillary type)
  • 5% avascular
