xray:
  • loss of zone of provisional calcification
  • wide physis (> 1 mm)(increased osteoid)
  • cupping, fraying + irregularity of metaphyses
  • bowing of long bones
  • decreased bone density
  • rachitic rosary
  • periosteal reaction
