rare, sporadic, fatal
mostly in kids (M=F); in adults, M:F = 2:1
recurrent attacks of pulmonary hemorrhage
- acute phase: "bat-wing" alveolar infiltrates
- clears rapidly
chronic findings:
- hemosiderosis
- pulmonary fibrosis
- cor pulmonale
