medulloblastoma
- 2-6% of all intracranial gliomas
- most malignant infratentorial neoplasm (radiosensitive)
- most common neoplasm of posterior fossa in childhood
- 15-20% of all pediatric intracranial tumors

- 5-14 years old (2/3); 15-35 years old (1/3); M:F = 2:1
- site: a) vermis cerebelli + roof of 4th ventricle (kids) in 91%
- b) cerebellar hemisphere (older age group)

- findings: 1) usually >2 cm
- 2) slightly hyperdense (70%); isodense (20%); mixed (10%)
- 3) rapid homogeneous enhancement (97%)
- 4) hydrocephalus (85%)
- 5) cystic/necrotic areas (16%)
- 6) calcification (13%); hemmorhage (3%)
- 7) subarachnoid mets (30%) to spinal cord, cerebral
- convexities, suprasellar cistern
- 8) skeletal mets
