  • seen in Orient and in Asian immigrants
  • etiology: Clonorchis sinensis (?), stones

  • dilated ducts filled with stones
    • soft, pigmented stones ==> no shadow on U/S
  • stricture, obstruction, abscess
  • increased incidence of cholangioCa
