X-linked recessive
demyelination of cerebral white matter
adrenal insufficiency (unresponsive to ACTH)
CT: white-matter dz: occipital regions --> frontal
- progression --> generalized atrophy
MRI: hypointense T1/hyperintense T2, atrophic splenium of corpus callosum
NM: increased uptake in involved regions
