tuberculous peritonitis


  • etiology: 1) hematogenous spread
    • 2) rupture of mesenteric node
  • types: 1) wet: exudative ascites
  • 2) dry: tuberculous adenopathy and adhesions
  • 3) fibrotic: abdominal mass with separation and fixation of bowel
  • CT: 1) high density ascites (30 HU)
  • 2) peripancreatic and mesenteric adenopathy with low density
  • centers (caseous necrosis)
  • 3) irregular soft tissue density of omemtum
  • ** tuberculosis: gastrointestinal manifestations
