abnormal copper metabolism: defect in serum ceruloplasmin
  • autosomal recessive

Findings:
  • copper deposition in liver ==> cirrhosis, increased density
  • degenerative changes in brain
  • arthritis
  • Kayser-Fleischer ring in Descemet's membrane
