paraganglioma of middle ear

  • most common neoplasm of middle ear

  • arises from tympanic branch of glossopharyngeal nerve
  • arterial supply: ascending pharyngeal artery
    • (arises at bifurcation: do CCA injection)

  • glomus JUGULARE is most common tumor of temporal bone
